Javanese Theory of Leaderships

Learning and knowing something new is the thing I wanna do everyday. I obtain both of them simply by attending my favorite class; Mr. Soetrisman’s class. Today, I got something that I consider to be very important which is about leaderships. To be exact, it’s about what a leader must be like. He said that it’s based on the Javanese theory.

A leader shall be like:

1. Sun

It gives life, doesn’t it?

2. Wind

You know we cannot see the wind but we can feel it, right? That’s how a leader shall be. Though we cannot see his/her action, we can still feel it. I love this theory in particular.

3. Soil

Soil is the place where we plant. Anything we plant will grow.

4.  Water

The characteristics of water are very remarkable. It can be big in a big place and be small in a small place as well. Very adaptable wherever it is. Ah, we can also find it almost everywhere, uh?

5.  Stars

Stars are far away up there, yet everybody can see it. Sometimes, we can also enjoy its beauty & light from miles away.

6.   Moon

It provides light but not too bright. That’s why moon gives us peaceful feelings.

7.  Fire

Based on the situation, fire can be useful as well as dangerous.

8.  Sky

I personally think that this is the second-best. Sky has the ability to accommodate anything. A leader needs to do so, too.

Well, I think those points are very important for everybody. Coz you know, everybody is a leader of themselves. Happy leading J
